First, let me start this by saying this Yosemite elopement with Tiffaney and Sam was amazing! They had a beautiful and emotional ceremony with Bridalveil Falls as the ambiance behind them. It was GORGEOUS ! You could hear the water falling behind you and it was a perfect backdrop. Bridalveil Falls is a public trail, but during the ceremony, everyone stayed back and let Sam and Tiffaney have their moment and get married! It was so sweet seeing strangers witness these two vow their forebears. They then ran around and explored the meadow, popped champagne, and then cuddled in the grass. Lastly, we hiked to Taft Point with photos on the trailhead along the way and then witnessed the epic Yosemite sunset! This Yosemite elopement was such a dream to capture, and I can't wait to come back and document another elopement here. I want to get into why you should plan to elope in Yosemite and all that you can do!

What You Can do When You Elope in Yosemite

Just like Tiffaney and Sam, you can start at The Ahwahnee Hotel (which is also a wedding venue itself!) for getting ready photos. Then you can adventure off to Bridalveil Falls for a beautiful ceremony with a gorgeous backdrop of the falls behind you! After your ceremony, you could head over to a beautiful meadow for more photos with the grand Yosemite Valley views, overlooking trees, and pop some champagne with the stunning mountains as your backdrop! Then head over to Taft Point for sunset! Taft Point is PERFECT for golden hour and when the sun is going down. The colors that come out turn a beautiful blue and purple color, and the mountains and views really pop. It’s always been one of my favorite places ever. It’s about a 2.5 mile hike round trip! It’s definitely a fun activity to do on your elopement day if you're looking to add some adventure and gorgeous views in!

There are so many different ways you can elope in Yosemite though. You can make it so unique to you and your partner and plan your day however you want! Imagine starting at Glacier Point during sunrise and drinking a hot cup of coffee as you watch the sun rise up, or riding bikes around Yosemite, exploring the meadows and valleys, or bringing a blanket and having a picnic lunch together! You could then head to the river. freshen up in your hotel room after, and finish the day with sunset views at Taft Point with some champagne! The trail to Taft Point is gorgeous, and we can definitely stop along the way to get some forest and ferns photos! And of course, finish up by watching the sun go down high up in the mountains. Doesn't that sound so romantic? If you're looking for a fun adventure elopement day, elope in Yosemite!
