Mendocino Engagement Photos on The Beach & in The Redwoods

This adventurous Mendocino engagement session with Katie and Dale was full of the best vibes and scenery! These two are so much fun and I loved getting to know them and capture their session! We just had to visit multiple locations because Mendocino offers a variety of the most stunning backdrops! From the redwoods of Otis Wilderness Park, Mendocino Headlands for the the breathtaking cliff views, and Buckhorn Cove for the beach! I seriously loved exploring all of these different landscapes with Dale, Katie, and their sweet pup Ezra! If you're looking for the best locations in Mendocino for engagement photos on the beach and in the redwoods, these are some must stop spots!

Katie & Dale's Mendocino Engagement Photos on The Beach & In The Redwoods

The fact that Katie and Dale brought their dog along for their engagement session was a plus! I just love dogs, and Ezra is such a lover boy! He's a husky shepherd mix, and I just so happen to also have a husky shepherd mix! The similarities were all there. From his yawns, the way he ran around and explored each location, and the fact that he didn't listen when they told him to stop drinking the dirty water LOL! The redwoods were absolutely epic! They were so tall, lush, green, and overall the perfect moody vibe for the start of the session! We then made a short stop at the cliffs to get that iconic Mendocino Headlands Arch!

Then, Katie and Dale showed me their secret beach spot that they love for the dreamy engagement photos on the beach! A few years ago, they went exploring to this exact cove, and that's where the memories began. This cove means so much to them and their pup Ezra! It made it even more special to take engagement photos for them here because of the memories they share. The cove is tucked away and hard to find - but once you do, you will want to return forever! The cove is magical, and it reminded me of the Oregon Coast, like Brookings or Lincoln City! I had so much fun running around and snapping some sweet engagement photos on the beach! We also made extra dirty martinis on the beach which is Katie's favorite, and poured an IPA for Dale in some vintage glasses I found at a thrift store nearby! Don't worry, we washed them before using! ;)
