Amanda and James Engagement Session at Muir Beach
Amanda and James had their engagement session at the incredible Muir Woods and Muir Beach. During their session, I focused on capturing their personality and showcasing their love for one another. Muir Woods and Muir Beach have some of my favorite backdrops for engagement pictures, so I was excited to capture them there! I captured these photos on digital + 35mm film!!
From the moment we met up, Amanda and James were so excited to take photos, which always makes me happy to photograph. They had previously sent me details about their relationship, from how they met (shoutout to Amanda's ex for this introduction LOL!) to their favorite quirks about each other. Having this type of info before a session can really help me photograph you in a way that feels comfortable for both of you, never feeling forced. We started the session by venturing through the redwoods in Muir Woods, then ended the session on Muir Beach. The timing could not have been better for their session. As we reached Muir Beach, we witnessed a stunning sunset that was perfect for photos. I felt so lucky to photography Amanda and James since they were up for anything, running around chasing each other on the beach and making silly faces, completely focused on the moment and each other!
The Best 90s Rom-Com Engagement Outfits
One of my favorite parts of their session was their outfits. They were spot-on, giving '90s rom-com vibes that perfectly matched the playful and romantic setting. Since we started in the woods, their first outfits were fun jackets, with Amanda wearing a leopard print coat and James wearing a leather jacket. Then, once we got to the beach, they opted for chunky knit sweaters. One thing that Amanda admires about James is his personal style, so seeing it come to life in front of my camera was really special. Planning Your Own Engagement Session at Muir Woods and Muir Beach
Muir Woods and Muir Beach are both so beautiful. I feel lucky to be close, so I can take my couples here and get some of the most beautiful pictures. I left this shoot more excited than ever to capture Amanda and James' wedding next year. Their ease in front of the camera and their fun personalities made this the perfect engagement session.
