Seriously, it was the perfect mix, and I'm OBSESSED! Joshua Tree National Park is one of my favorite national parks in California, and it always serves up the most epic views! No matter how many times I come here, I never leave feeling disappointed! Colby and Sarah are actually friends of mine, and they're also wedding photographers! So when they asked me to capture their 2024 wedding, I was honored! This session was actually part of their complimentary engagement session, but it feels so bridal and I just know it'll serve up some Joshua Tree elopement inspiration for you ;)
Exploring Joshua Tree & Downtown Palm Springs With Colby & Sarah
It was truly so fun to hang out with these two in SoCal. They ended up getting an Airbnb to stay at for a few days. The night before this session, we stayed up playing board games and drinking margaritas! I decided to check the weather and noticed that our original plan, which was doing sunset photos, wasn't looking good. It was predicted to be rainy with high winds. So last minute we ended up deciding to do a sunrise session instead! The change of plans was SO WORTH IT! We got the most gorgeous lighting and sunrise colors. It was just perfect. And Sarah absolutely rocked her outfit! The bright pink heels she wore added such a beautiful pop of color and was giving Barbie vibes! I just love being spontaneous and am so down for anything to get the best shots and take an adventure with my couples! Sarah and Colby were definitely troopers and were also so down for anything! It was so much fun exploring Joshua Tree National Park together and climbing the rocks! We laughed all morning long and kept talking about just how gorgeous everything was!
After exploring Joshua Tree, we ended up heading to Palm Springs for lunch together. We then walked around downtown and even got some cute photos taken in one of my favorite Palm Springs neighborhood spots! It truly felt like we were in a scene from "Don't Worry Darling". I loved the vibes of this entire day, and had such the best time with Sarah and Colby!
