Amber and David's wedding at the historic Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, California, was a beautiful celebration and a night to remember for everyone lucky enough to attend.
Historical Wedding Venue in California
From the moment I arrived, it was clear that choosing this venue was super intentional for the overall vibe of their wedding day. Kohl Mansion has stunning historical architecture and lush grounds, perfect for a vintage-inspired wedding. The vintage charm complimented the elegance that Amber and David were after on their wedding day.
One of my favorite details of the day was Amber's dress! Her dress was made just for her and fit in so perfectly for their Kohl Mansion wedding. She paired it with a cape which is so different and unique and so perfectly her! As she walked down the staircase for their first look, I was speechless and could not stop clicking away. David's reaction was the sweetest, filled with tears and smiles. It was a personal moment, and I'm so happy they shared it before the ceremony.
With the first look done, we took our time exploring the nooks and crannies of the mansion for photos. This was the perfect time for Amber and David to have some quiet moments together before the ceremony, allowing them to connect and soak in the day just the two of them. These moments were some of my favorites to capture; they were genuine and so intimate.
The Best Intimate Wedding in Burlingame, California
Amber and David decided to have a small wedding with only 65 guests, which made the day even more intimate and special for all who attended. The ceremony itself was everything you'd imagine. With the mansion as the backdrop and heartfelt vows that brought more than a few tears, it was perfect!
As the evening progressed, the reception space came alive with all of the candlelight, creating a warm and cozy vibe. The cocktail hour and dinner were a blast, filled with laughter, fantastic food, and tipsy speeches that had everyone smiling. The band they had was such a hit! The Lucky Devils kept the party going! They were able to keep the energy up, and the dance floor stayed packed because of it.
I took a step back to document, being a fly on the wall, which is exactly why Amber and David hired me to capture their day. They wanted that candid approach to their wedding day. I was able to capture so many intimate moments, from the dancing to the hugging and everything in between.
